About

A landscaping crew that works from the wall outward

We're ten people in Santa Rosa. We started clearing brush around hillside homes and added planting, pruning and a written map, because homeowners kept asking what came after the brush.

Every job starts with a walk and a map, goes ring by ring, and ends with a walk and dated photos. We stand down on red flag days.

Who comes to the walk

Three people you'll meet, and the crew behind them

Ten people work here. Odalys, who schedules visits and writes the estimates, speaks Spanish; so do some on the crew.

  • Darnell Tolliver in blue overalls and safety goggles holding a brush cutter on a lawn

    Darnell Tolliver

    Owner and crew lead

Leads the first walk on most jobs and draws the map. Plans the crew's order of work, from the wall outward.

  • Thea Lindqvist in a hat and work gloves kneeling to dig around ornamental grasses with a hand trowel

    Thea Lindqvist

    Planting and zone design

Plans the plants for zones 0 and 1: low, spaced and watered, from the lists the county and fire district publish.

  • Winston Ransom in a straw hat pruning a fruit tree in an orchard

    Climber and pruning lead

Leads the limbing. Limbs above reach come down on a rope and harness, never from a ladder with a saw.
